Profile and account

Your name, your settings, and your data. Everything here is yours to change, export, or delete.

Edit your profile

1. Open the Profile tab and tap Edit Profile.
2. Change your Display Name or write a Bio.
3. Choose whether to show your bio: the Show bio on my posts switch is off by default.
4. Choose whether to hide swear words in other people's posts: the Hide swear words in other people's posts switch is on by default. More about it below.
5. Tap Save Changes.

Good to know: if you tap Cancel, nothing you changed is kept. Your profile goes back to how it was.

Hide swear words in other people's posts

Swearing is permitted in the community, because a lot of people come here to vent about a rough session. If you'd rather not see it, DealtIn™ can hide it for you. This switch is on by default.

• On: swear words in other people's posts, comments, and bios show with most of the letters replaced, like f***.
• Off: you see them exactly as written.
• Either way: you always see your own posts exactly as you wrote them.

1. Open the Profile tab and tap Edit Profile.
2. Tap Hide swear words in other people's posts to turn it on or off.
3. Tap Save Changes.

Good to know: this only changes what you see. Slurs aren't allowed in posts, comments, or bios at all, and they're never shown, whichever way this switch is set. For what's allowed and how reporting works, see Report a post or comment.

Change the theme

On the Profile tab, open the Theme menu and pick one:

• System Default: follows your phone's setting.
• Sensory Flow: a calm gradient of deep poker tones. This is the default.
• Dark: easy on the eyes.
• Light: bright and clean.
• High Contrast: maximum readability.

Under Card Suit Colors, choose Classic or 4-Color (blue diamonds and green clubs). It changes how cards look in your hand notes.

Good to know: you can also switch themes from the login screen, and from the fidget spinner. DealtIn™ follows your phone's text size setting.

Set the audio guide

On the Profile tab, the Audio Guide switch decides whether spoken guidance and break-timer sounds start on or off. It's Audio Off by Default until you change it. It sets the starting point for grounding exercises and for the break timer's warning and end tone, and you can still change them each time.

To choose who speaks, tap Guide Voice and pick Default or one of the English voices on your phone.

Choose how login codes arrive

1. On the Profile tab, find Login Code Delivery.
2. Choose Email or Text.
3. To use Text, add your 10-digit number under Phone Number first.
4. Tap Save Login Settings.

Set, change, or remove a password

A password is optional. Without one, you log in with a code each time.

1. On the Profile tab, find Password and tap Set Password (or Change Password if you already have one).
2. Enter your New Password (at least 8 characters) and enter it again under Confirm Password. If you're changing it, you will have to enter your Current Password also.
3. Save it.

To go back to codes only, tap Remove Password and enter your current password. Logging in with a code always stays available.

Export your data

1. On the Profile tab, tap Export My Data.
2. Your phone's share sheet opens with a file named dealtin-export and the date. Save it or send it where you like.

Good to know: it includes your sessions, check-ins, reviews, and posts. Exporting always works, with or without a subscription.

Log out

Tap Log Out on the Profile tab. It logs you out right away, with no extra question. To sign out of every phone at once, tap Log Out All Devices and type LOGOUT to confirm. You'll log in again with a new code.

Delete your account

1. On the Profile tab, tap Delete Account.
2. Tap Send Code. We email you a 6-digit code.
3. Enter the code and tap Delete Account.

Good to know: your account is scheduled for deletion, and you have 45 days to change your mind. To undo it during that time, email [email protected] from the address on your account. After 45 days, your account and all your data are permanently deleted. If you still have paid subscription time left, you keep your access until it runs out, and the 45 days start after that. Canceling a subscription is not the same as deleting your account. See our Terms for the full details.

What's free and what needs a subscription

New accounts start with a 14-day free trial that includes everything. Your Profile shows when it ends. After that, a subscription keeps the full experience going. For prices and the founding member offer, see the FAQ.

Always free, with or without a subscription:

• Viewing your own data and history.
• Exporting your data and deleting your entries or your whole account.
• Changing your profile and settings.
• The Talk to someone now crisis line tile.
• Box Breathing and 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding.

Needs a subscription after the trial:

• Adding or editing sessions, check-ins, reviews, hand notes, and general notes.
• Posting, commenting, and reacting in the community, and reading other members' posts in full.
• The rest of the Toolkit: the Break Timer, Fidget Spinner, Sensory Coping Skills, Poker Glossary, and the other grounding exercises.

When you reach something that needs a subscription, you'll see a screen titled Keep your DealtIn membership. You can tap Maybe later at any time, or Restore purchases if you've subscribed before. Subscriptions are handled by the App Store or Google Play, and you can cancel any time in your store account settings.
